If you've wondered why Anne Hathaway has been out and about without her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri as of late, we've got your answer- she dumped him.

According to a source close to the "Devil Wears Prada" actress, Follieri has been embroiled in too much scandal lately, and Anne just couldn't take it anymore.

The source revealed, "It's heartbreaking for her to dump him and she's devastated that it's come to this, but she really didn't have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation."

And this isn't the first time Raffaello's shady ways have been a problem… they broke up for a bit last year when he was sued by a former business associate, and was shortly thereafter arrested for bouncing a $215,000 check to a public relations firm.

Anne and Raffaello dated for four years.
