Paris sued for 'poor film promotion'

Hotel heiress and socialite extraordinaire Paris Hilton is being sued for not doing enough to promote a US campus comedy.Worldwide Entertainment Group filed a lawsuit in Miami, alleging the 27-year-old Simple Life star owes $75,000 (£38,000) in damages for not fulfilling promotional obligations.

Hilton entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie National Lampoon's Pledge This! in which she starred and received credit as an executive producer.

She's set to next appear in the movie musical Repo! The Genetic Opera and yet another reality series, Paris Hilton's My New BFF.

The lawsuit comes days after the House of Wax star's tongue-in-cheek online video rebuttal to Presidential hopeful John McCain's claim that rival Barack Obama is nothing more than a celebrity like Hilton and Brittany Spears.

In it, she calls the Republican candidate "the oldest celebrity in the world" and the video is supposed to have amassed an incredible 6.2 million online views within days.
