Hard-partying princes lead defeated English on night out in Paris

LONDON (AFP) - Living up to their hard-partying image, Princes William and Harry led the defeated English Rugby World Cup finalists on a night on the town in Paris at the weekend, captain Phil Vickery admitted Monday.
Newspapers had pictured the princes drinking with the normally teetotal fly-half Johnny Wilkinson, and other members of the squad, after the 2003 champions defied the odds to make it to Saturday's final.

And, speaking after the players returned to London, Vickery confirmed that the young royals had been warm supporters of the squad, saying it was an honour to have them join the rugby party.

Wilkinson himself wrote earlier in the The Times: "I broke the habit of pretty much a lifetime after the game on Saturday night and had a bit of a blow-out."

"It was the first time in years and simply seemed the right time and the right thing to do."
